DJ Dollar Leaves Angel FM In January

Barely a year after joining Angel 96.9 FM from Bishara Radio, popularly DJ and entrepreneur  in the Tamale Metropolis, Shayibu Mashud popularly known as DJ Dollar is set to be leaving the station in January 2019.

Information Reaching Tamale Online indicates that DJ Dollar will be leaving to join state owned Radio Savanna, a subsidiary of the Ghana Broadcasting Cooporation (GBC) in the Northern regionl capital of Tamale.

Insiders at Radio Savanna confirmed to Tamale Online News Mr Hassan, GBC Regional Director is said to have called and met the outspoken DJ for negotiations for a possible switch.

DJ Dollar when officially employed will host the Savanna Drive every weekday (Monday – Friday) from mid-afternoon to evening. He is regarded as one of the top presenters in the North with massive influence and following.

Angel FM – Tamale forms part of the Angel Media Group in Accra, Kumasi and also part of the Angel Group of Companies owned by businessman Dr Kwaku Oteng.

Other businesses associaatdd with the brand includes the Angel School Complex, Angel Soap &  Cream, Angel Mosquito Spray & Coil, Adonko bitters etc.

However, it is unknown how much the man who parades himself as “Champion DJ” takes home as monthly salary with his current employer but Tamale Online News understands DJ Dollar could have a big smile when if he decides to join the state owned media.

Tamale Online News have reached out to DJ Dollar on the development but has declined to speak on the matter after several attempts to convince him to share details of a possible.

Meanwhile, he confirmed speaking with Mr. Hassan (GBC Director) but has neither denied nor confirmed if he’s being poached.

Rapper Gaffachi Declares Himself King Of Hip Hop In The North

Controversial Zola Rapper, Gaffachi Payment has joined the kingship race by conferring on himself the tittle of “King of Hip Hop” in the Northern Region. 

The “Montana” rapper took to his Facebook page to make this pronouncement claiming he is in a confortable lead. 

He also says the throne is under look and key and no other emcee (rapper) is a match to him in the North.

It is unclear on what basis the artist believes the throne belongs to him in the entire Northern Region whiles his Zola mate, Maccasio is regarded “King or Rappers Jack”. 

However, other artist like T- Bird, Double Tee, Ataaka, Saani and S.K.Y (Tamale Bwoy) are big wigs in the hip hop genre in North. 

Don’t forget Gaffachi, Double Tee and S.K.Y have been throwing shades at each other in a lyrical battle.

Stop Music And Rear Cows – Patapaa Mocks Fancy Gadam




Ghanaian hiplife artist, Patapaa has again descended heavily on his colleague Fancy Gadam – this time ask him to quit music.

According to the commander in chief of the Patupa Soldiers who recently lost his manager, Fancy Gadam needs to quit music because there is a shortage of cow meat in the country.

The ‘One Corner’ hitmaker stated that he always feels to visit the toilet whenever he hears songs from the Northern musicking.

“His voice is not even good. Whenever I hear his songs, I feel like going to toilet,” he said.

Patapaa further emphasized that Fancy should leave music and go to cow farming.

“Just let him know that cow meat is now small. He better start one so we can get meat this Christmas,” Patapeezy added.
